Ninjas in Pyjamas Secure Spot in MDL Paris Major After Winning OGA Dota PIT Minor

Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) overcame a challenging start at the OGA Dota PIT Minor to secure a ticket to the MDL Paris Major and a trip to Disneyland Paris. Several teams, including Alliance, Gambit Esports, and NiP, opted out of ESL One Mumbai to compete in the Minor for one last chance at the next Dota Pro Circuit Major.

In the group stage, NiP faced difficulties against BOOM ID and Royal Never Give Up in Group A, finishing with a 4-5 record. On the other hand, both Alliance and Royal performed well, ending with a 6-2 record and claiming the top spots for the main event.

Despite their initial struggles, NiP turned things around in the playoffs, winning six consecutive matches against Majestic Esports, Forward Gaming, and Alliance to earn a spot in the grand finals.

In the grand finals, NiP faced off against EHOME, a team with extensive experience at the highest level of the current Dota meta. The series was closely contested, with both teams trading blows throughout the matches.

NiP showed their strength in game one, carrying the momentum into game two. However, EHOME bounced back and won game two. In the deciding third game, NiP secured the lead again by sniping Medusa from EHOME and employing a similar strategy.

After losing game four, NiP took an unconventional approach in the final match, using unique picks centered around the Huskar hero. This strategy helped them fend off EHOME’s late push and claim victory in the OGA Dota PIT Minor.

With the win, NiP not only earned a prize of $125,000 and 120 Pro Circuit Points but also secured the last spot in the MDL Disneyland Paris Major. They will join 15 other teams in competing for a share of $1,000,000 and 15,000 Pro Circuit Points when the Major kicks off on May 4.
