Ninjas in Pyjamas miss DreamLeague Season 13 qualification following region switch.

Peter “ppd” Dager’s Ninjas in Pyjamas fails to qualify for DreamLeague Season 13 Major

Thanks to the rise of North American Dota 2 teams, Peter “ppd” Dager’s return to the region did not go as planned. His team, Ninjas in Pyjamas, failed to secure a spot in the DreamLeague Season 13 Major despite initially planning to compete in North America for the rest of the year. This shift was meant to give them a break from the tough European competition and face weaker opponents.

In the group stage, Ninjas in Pyjamas showed promise by defeating Demon Slayers, the team that knocked them out of DreamLeague Season 12. However, their journey was halted in the semifinals when they faced Chaos Esports Club, another European organization based in North America. Chaos proved to be a tough opponent and ultimately won the series.

Facing elimination, Ninjas in Pyjamas aimed to seek revenge against Evil Geniuses in a rematch. Despite a strong start from Nico “Gunnar” Lopez’s Ember Spirit, Ninjas in Pyjamas couldn’t maintain their momentum, and Evil Geniuses took control of the game, resulting in a loss.

With their dreams of participating in the DreamLeague Season 13 Major shattered, Ninjas in Pyjamas will now focus on qualifying for the WePlay! Bukovel Minor. The qualifiers for the minor tournament begin on December 5th.
