Nigma shifts w33 to Dota 2 inactive lineup

Nigma Removes w33 from Main Roster Ahead of DPC Season 2

Popular esports organization Nigma has announced the removal of w33 from its main Dota 2 roster in preparation for the second season of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit.

Although w33 will remain on Nigma’s roster as a sixth player, he is now free to explore other opportunities outside of the organization.

This decision follows Nigma’s participation in the ONE Esports Singapore Major, where they secured the third seed from Europe. Unfortunately, MinD_ContRoL was unable to play due to testing positive for COVID-19 before the event, leading to Nigma’s early elimination.

Although Nigma did not provide specific reasons for the roster change, it is likely a result of their performance at the Major and other internal considerations. Details regarding the decision have not been made public.

While w33 is being placed on the inactive roster, he has the opportunity to explore alternatives with other teams. However, his options may be limited as the second season of the DPC regional leagues has already begun and qualifiers are underway.

Teams have until today to make player changes without affecting their DPC points. The final day for new signings, without penalty, is April 11, just before the regional leagues resume.
