Nigma avoids an early upset, secures qualification for WePlay! Bukovel Minor

Nigma Secures Spot in WePlay! Bukovel Minor with Dominant Performance

Almost all the strongest teams from each region managed to qualify for the upcoming WePlay! Bukovel Minor. However, it wasn’t smooth sailing for Nigma in the European qualifiers, as they faced unexpected challenges.

After failing to secure a spot at the DreamLeague Season 13 Major, Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi and his team were the clear favorites to come out on top in the Minor qualifiers. But they faced a fierce opponent in the upper bracket – Vikin.gg.

Vikin.gg, who had recently signed a group of lesser-known players, proved to be a formidable force. They dominated the first game and evened the series with a strong win in the second game.

The unexpected loss shook Nigma’s confidence, and it showed in their hesitant playstyle. Capitalizing on this, Vikin.gg managed to secure the upset win.

Nigma had to face off against Singularity again in the lower bracket. Although Singularity put up a fight in both games, Nigma emerged victorious with a 2-0 win.

This set up a rematch between Nigma and Vikin.gg in the finals. Nigma came out strong once again, winning the first game convincingly with Miracle-‘s Storm Spirit leading the charge.

In the second game, although Vikin.gg held a steady lead at two different times, they couldn’t keep w33’s Mars down. Nigma turned the tide in a crucial fight and secured a 2-0 lead.

In the deciding match, Nigma was unstoppable. Miracle- and w33 dominated the early game, while MinD_ContRoL’s Abyssal Underlord helped finish off Vikin.gg. Nigma completed a clean sweep with a 3-0 victory.

Nigma now has a chance to compete in the Major as the WePlay! tournament begins on Jan. 9.
