Neon Esports Secure New Dota 2 Player to Revitalize Performance After Disappointing DPC Season

Neon Esports Recruits Veteran Player in Hopes of Securing Spot in SEA DPC Second Division

Neon Esports, a long-standing organization in the Southeast Asian Dota 2 scene, has faced obstacles in qualifying for the first division of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit. With their future on the line, they have made a significant roster change by bringing in Ryan “Raging Potato” Qui, a seasoned player from the Philippines.

Neon Esports has struggled to compete with the influx of sponsors and the emergence of promising pro players in the region. As a result, they fell short in the closed qualifiers and missed out on the first tour of the season.

Following these disappointing results, Neon decided to make changes to their roster. They parted ways with Valky in January and brought in Ken. Shortly after, Tsukimoto was also removed from the team.

One of Neon’s weaknesses was their lack of experience, which is where Raging Potato comes in. Throughout his career, he has been a part of strong teams in Southeast Asia, including Execration and Mineski. Since 2011, he has been actively competing and honing his skills.

With Raging Potato’s experience and the young talents on the team, Neon is aiming to secure a spot in the second division of the SEA DPC. However, the path to qualification won’t be easy. The closed qualifiers are expected to be fiercely competitive, but Neon is determined to rise to the challenge.
