Natus Vincere Dota 2 removes Solo from roster after LCQ loss and speculation of internal matters

NAVI Parts Ways with Team Captain Solo After Disappointing Performance in TI LCQ

The International 2022 Last Chance Qualifiers recently concluded, with NAVI’s Dota 2 team failing to make it to the tournament after losses against T1 and Xtreme Gaming. Following their elimination, NAVI announced that they are parting ways with team captain Alexey “Solo” Berezin, leaving four players on their Dota 2 team for the upcoming season.

Internal Issues and Discord Rumored Within NAVI

Despite performing well during the event, reports suggest that Solo and the NAVI team had internal conflicts which could have led to their disbandment even before the TI LCQ. According to CyberSports.ru, the NAVI members were not in agreement with Solo’s strict captaincy style.

ALOHADANCE’s Departure Also Allegedly Linked to Solo

The report also claims that the reason former NAVI player ALOHADANCE left the team was attributed to Solo, which caused dissatisfaction among the players. With the International 2022 no longer in the picture, NAVI and Solo decided it was time to go their separate ways.

Neither NAVI nor Solo have confirmed the CyberSports.ru report. However, during the drafting stages of the event, Solo appeared less involved and most of the picks were decided by the team’s coach, GuessWho, and Georgii “swedenstrong” Zainalabidov.

NAVI’s Admirable Performance Despite Discord Among Team Members

Despite facing challenges with team chemistry, NAVI put up a strong fight throughout the qualifiers, which can be considered impressive.

The current NAVI roster consists of vAlik “V-Tune” Vorobey, Volodymyr “No[o]ne” Minenko, Vladyslav “laise” Lais, and swedenstrong.
