MiSeRy reveals being kicked from Dota 2 team Evil Geniuses in recent tweet

Rasmus “MiSeRy” Filipsen Released from Evil Geniuses Dota 2 Team

Rasmus “MiSeRy” Filipsen has been released from the Evil Geniuses Dota 2 team, according to a tweet from the Danish support player himself.

After a disappointing performance at the ESL One Birmingham major, Evil Geniuses has made a change to its roster, parting ways with team captain MiSeRy. MiSeRy joined the team in December 2017. In a tweet at 2:48pm CT, he informed fans about his departure from the roster.

“I have been kicked from EG, I’m happy and relieved to be out,” MiSeRy said. “Thanks for all your support while in the team! What’s next?”

Success and Struggles as a Part of Evil Geniuses

MiSeRy and EG experienced some success during his five-month tenure with the team. They performed well in their first tournament together, the Captains Draft 4.0, winning two matches in the group stage before losing to Team Secret in the playoffs. They followed this up with a second-place finish at Galaxy Battles II and a top-three finish at ESL One Genting, their first major event as a team.

However, at subsequent major tournaments, EG failed to perform as well as they did in Genting, consistently placing in the top six. This changed at ESL One Birmingham, where they failed to advance past the group stage and ended up finishing in the top 12.

Looking Ahead to The International 2018

With The International 2018 just a couple of months away and qualifying tournaments starting soon, Dota 2 fans are eager to see where MiSeRy will go and who will replace him on one of the world’s most popular teams.
