Mineksi and Team Anvorgesa complete the lineup of StarLadder Minor contestants

All Teams Confirmed for StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor

The eight teams that will be competing in the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor have been finalized after Mineksi and Team Anvorgesa secured their spots in the regional qualifiers.

Both teams have previous experience in Dota Pro Circuit events and are striving to make it to The International 2019.

Mineski struggled in the closed qualifiers for the EPICENTER Major, failing to advance to the playoffs. After finishing ninth in the MDL Disneyland Paris Major, they are one of the top 20 teams in the DPC rankings that needed to qualify for the Minor.

They joined BOOM ID, Team Adroit, and recently-formed Power of MYSG+AU in the closed qualifiers for the StarLadder Minor. Since only four teams were competing, there was no need for a group stage. Mineski dominated from the start, beginning with a 2-0 sweep against BOOM, the team that defeated them in the Major qualifiers.

In their second series against MYSG+AU, Mineski faced a tougher challenge but still managed to secure a 2-0 victory. They then progressed to the grand finals to face the winner of Adroit and MYSG+AU.

In the grand finals, Mineski faced a rematch against MYSG+AU, and while the series was closer than their first meeting, Mineski emerged victorious in both games. With a perfect 6-0 record in the qualifiers, Mineski secured their spot at the Minor and kept their hopes alive for TI9.

In South America, the top two organizations in the region, paiN Gaming and Infamous, have already secured their spots in the Major, leaving the regional event wide open.

Thunder Predator initially showed promise but was stopped in their tracks by Gorillaz-Pride in round two. Anvorgesa, formerly known as Majestic Esports, also put up a strong performance at the OGA Dota PIT Minor, but made changes to their roster before rebranding. Anvorgesa went on to win the grand finals against Gorillaz-Pride, claiming the final spot at the Minor.

With all eight teams confirmed, the matches for the StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor will begin on June 12. The top two finishers will advance to the EPICENTER Major on June 22.
