Mind Games forced to forfeit initial match at Dota Pro Circuit Stockholm Major due to ongoing visa issues

The First Day of the Dota Pro Circuit’s Spring Tour Major Plagued by Travel Issues for Mind Games

The opening day of the Dota Pro Circuit’s Spring Tour Major seemed to be going smoothly until Mind Games encountered yet another travel mishap, adding to the list of complications this season.

Despite previous confirmation, Mind Games did not receive their travel visas in time to attend the Stockholm Major, as stated by ESL, the organizers of the tournament.

This news follows Mind Games’ previous announcement that they would play without two of their core players, Danil “Bignum” Shekhovtsov and Semion “CemaTheSlayer” Krivulya, who were unable to travel from Ukraine due to various reasons. In their absence, PuckChamp support players Genadiy “Astral” Motuz and Andrey “Dukalis” Kuropatkin stepped in for the Major.

Despite prior visa approval, three more players are now facing travel issues just before the event.

As a result of this unforeseen delay, Mind Games has been handed a forfeit loss for their first-round match against Thunder Awaken, which was originally scheduled as the final game of Group B’s first day. However, the team will not face any further penalties at this time. The tournament organizers are actively communicating and assisting them throughout this situation.

Tomorrow, the team is set to compete against Gaimin Gladiators and TSM. If they continue to face consecutive forfeits due to these travel delays, it will be challenging for them to advance from the group stage considering their tough remaining schedule.

ESL will provide additional updates as Mind Games strives to make their way to Stockholm and participate in the Major.
