MidOne to Join OG, According to X1aOyU

Top Dota 2 Player, “MidOne,” Rumored to Join OG

There are rumors circulating in the Dota 2 competitive scene that top player Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng might be joining OG after being released from Team Secret. These rumors come from Malaysian player Lee “X1aOyU” Qianyu, who claims to have had a conversation with MidOne about teaming up. While there is no concrete evidence connecting MidOne to OG, the recent departure of ninjaboogie from SEAMonkeys, the team MidOne was previously a part of, adds credibility to the speculation.

X1aOyU, who previously played for Vici Gaming and You Know Who, claims that MidOne asked him to leave the team before ultimately signing with OG. Reddit users provided a translation of their conversation, which further supports the rumor. Although the exact details of the plan are unclear, it seems that a third party may have caused the original stack to fall apart.

OG has a history of bringing in stand-in players during breaks, as they did last year with Per Anders “Pajkatt” Lille and Igor “iLTW” Filatov. With OG’s current roster taking an extended break and no concrete signs of their return, it is possible that MidOne could act as a stand-in, given his experience and flexibility in playing different roles. This move could also be a precautionary measure in case one of the players decides to retire. If MidOne is signed as a substitute, he could step in whenever the team needs him.

However, it’s important to note that these rumors are still speculative and have not been confirmed. MidOne may continue to play for an SEA stack before finding a permanent spot on a tier-one roster.

Regardless, the departure of ninjaboogie from SEAMonkeys suggests that there will be some roster movement around MidOne in the near future.
