MidOne reunites with Team Secret for the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore

MidOne Returns to Team Secret as Stand-in for ONE Esports Invitational

Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng has made his return to Team Secret as a stand-in for the ONE Esports Invitational in Singapore. MidOne had left Secret just one month ago but will now rejoin the European Dota 2 powerhouse for the tournament.

Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat, Secret’s position four support, will not be participating in the event. The team did not disclose the reason for his absence, but mentioned that he was busy playing Death Stranding.

MidOne had returned to Malaysia after leaving Secret and formed a new team with Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross Jr. However, the squad failed to make it out of the open qualifiers for the Leipzig Major.

His inclusion in the ONE Esports Invitational is a matter of logistical convenience, as the tournament is set in Singapore. MidOne only needs to cross the border to join his former teammates and compete for the $500,000 prize pool.

Interestingly, MidOne might be playing in the position four support role, which is new to him in a professional setting. Previously, he was known for his aggressive and playmaking abilities as a mid laner for Secret.

The ONE Esports Invitational is a third-party event and does not offer Dota Pro Circuit points. However, it has attracted top-tier teams such as TNC Predator and Vici Gaming, who were champions and runners-up at the MDL Chengdu Major. Other strong teams like PSG.LGD, Virtus Pro, and Secret will also be making their LAN debut of the season.

The ONE Esports Invitational will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium from Dec. 17 to 22.
