MATUMBAMAN remains happy regardless of Liquid’s TI11 result

MATUMBAMAN’s Retirement Plans Revealed

MATUMBAMAN has openly discussed his retirement plans, expressing his desire to step away from professional gaming after The International 2022 ends. Despite Team Liquid facing elimination multiple times during the LCQ, Group Stage, and playoffs, MATUMBAMAN remains focused on savoring his final journey with his teammates.

Coping with Close Calls

Team Liquid has showcased impressive performance at TI11, narrowly avoiding elimination in several instances. These close calls have the potential to affect team morale, but MATUMBAMAN remains unfazed, prioritizing enjoyment during his last run.

A Zen Approach to TI11

During a post-game interview with Kaci Aitchison, MATUMBAMAN shared his zen-like perspective on TI11. Despite Liquid’s underwhelming performance in the 2022 DPC season and recent Majors, MATUMBAMAN considers any contribution on Dota’s biggest stage a “win-win” situation.

“For me, it’s ultimately a win-win situation,” Matu stated. “Just getting the chance to play my last TI feels like a victory. It was a struggle to even qualify, and I’m grateful to be here playing the games.”

The Magic of Uncertainty

MATUMBAMAN finds the unpredictability of his final adventure at Dota 2’s pinnacle event to be the most thrilling aspect. The team has also added an element of fun by teasing iNSaNiA through last-second hero picks.

Embracing the Moment

With their current placement in the bracket, Liquid has secured a position in the race for the Aegis. However, MATUMBAMAN remains focused on taking each game as it comes and accepting the outcome with contentment.

“Regardless of what happens, I will be happy and relish in my retirement,” Matu affirmed. “Every game I play on that stage could potentially be my last, or I may have another one to follow.”

Upcoming Matches

Liquid is set to face OG on the main stage at 12am CT tomorrow. The winner of this series will then proceed to compete against Thunder Awaken in the following round.
