Liquid Solidifies Claim as Dota 2’s Most Dominant Team by Breaking Lima Major Groups

Team Liquid Dominates Lima Major Groups, Solidifies Tournament Favorites

In the ongoing Dota Pro Circuit 2023, Team Liquid has emerged as the most dominant team so far, showcasing their exceptional form by crushing the Lima Major groups. As the first part of the event concluded, the European powerhouses remained undefeated, securing 14 wins—the highest among all teams in both groups—and two draws.

Team Liquid made quick work of their opponents in Group B, with the exception of Geek Slate and BetBoom. Their impressive performance has firmly established them as the favorites to win the tournament.

Despite being the team to beat, Team Liquid’s coach Blitz shares that they don’t feel any pressure and are more focused than ever. The players actively contribute their ideas and communicate effectively. Additionally, star midlaner Nisha has been in outstanding form, consistently delivering incredible plays such as Aegis snatches. This trend has continued throughout the Major.

It will be intriguing to see how Team Liquid performs against formidable opponents like Gaimin Gladiators, Team Spirit, Evil Geniuses, and Talon Esports, who secured the top four spots in Group A. Furthermore, established Dota 2 powerhouses like PSG.LGD and Tundra Esports, despite expectations, finished fifth and sixth in their group.

The Quarterfinals of the Upper Bracket, scheduled for February 28, will witness Team Liquid taking on Talon Esports. A victory in this match will lead them to face either Team Spirit or Evil Geniuses in the Upper Bracket Semifinals. However, if they face defeat, they will go up against HellRaisers in the Lower Bracket Round One.
