Liquid Adds Nisha to Dota 2 Team; MATUMBAMAN Bids Farewell

Dota 2’s The International 2022: Team Liquid Adds Nisha to Roster

The International 2022 tournament of Dota 2 provided fans with exciting storylines, one of which was MATUMBAMAN’s farewell. Team Liquid faced the challenge of filling the void left by their former player’s retirement. However, they found the answer by acquiring Nisha from Puppey’s team, Team Secret. This news was confirmed today, and Nisha is now officially a member of Team Liquid.

Fans of Dota were intrigued to know who would be the final addition to Liquid’s roster, given the numerous free agents available during the roster shuffle season. Captain Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi’s tweet with a Finnish flag led to speculation that Topson, a two-time The International winner, would join Liquid. However, Topson later joined a secondary OG squad, which further heightened the curiosity about Liquid’s final player.

The departure of Nisha from Team Secret came as a surprise to many. He had been a consistent member of the roster since 2018, even filling in for YapzOr during his extended break last season. Nisha’s journey from being a pubstar to becoming one of the most respected players in the world was closely associated with Team Secret. But, as is often the case with Puppey’s talented players, Nisha decided to join a rival team.

With Nisha joining the lineup, some role changes are necessary for Liquid. MiCKe will take on the safe lane while Nisha occupies the mid lane.

Additionally, Liquid will begin the 2023 season without their coach, JerAx. After playing for OG, JerAx decided to return to retirement due to not enjoying the game as much as before.
