LGD Forever Young secures top seed as Epicenter’s group stage concludes

LGD.Forever Young Dominates Group Stage at Epicenter

The Epicenter group stage, which was rescheduled on June 7 due to a medical emergency, concluded today with LGD.Forever Young emerging as the top team in Group A. The Chinese squad, which is LGD’s academy team, showcased their prowess by winning all four matches in their group, defeating strong teams such as OG, Team Liquid, Na`Vi, and Team Secret.

LGD.Forever Young’s path to victory was not without obstacles. Initially scheduled for June 7, the series had to be postponed to June 8 due to Team Secret support player Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat requiring medical attention. However, YapzOr made a triumphant return on June 7 and led his team to victory with a 2-0 win against OG.

As a result of their victory against Team Secret, LGD.Forever Young has secured a spot in the semifinals of the $500,000 event. They will face either Team Liquid or Virtus Pro in their next match. On the other hand, Team Secret will now compete against Invictus Gaming in the second quarterfinal. The winner of that match will then face Evil Geniuses in the second semifinal.

The Epicenter’s second Dota 2 season will continue for three more days, with the grand finals set to take place on June 11. The ultimate winners of the tournament will walk away with $250,000.
