LGD.Forever Young’s dominant performance in the group stage was not a one-off. They defeated Russian favorites Virtus Pro in two games, erasing a 12,000 gold lead in just minutes. With their victory, Virtus Pro was sent to the lower bracket.
The lower bracket had one-sided contests. OG defeated TNC, exacting revenge for their elimination from last year’s International. TNC’s ninth place elimination is a significant shift from their top eight placements in the previous year.
