Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos Wins ESL One Mercedes-Benz MVP Award in Dota 2

Rodrigo “Lelis” Santos has been crowned the ESL One Mercedes-Benz MVP in Dota 2 after being nominated two times while playing with Quincy Crew. This Brazilian offlaner played a crucial role in QC’s victory at the ESL One Thailand 2020: Americas, earning him a brand new Mercedes-Benz and a share of the $28,000 grand prize.

At the ESL One Thailand, a total of four players were in the running for the MVP award, with two players from each region. Lelis emerged as the top pick from the Americas, while Leonardo “LeoStyle-“ Sifuentes from Thunder Predator was the other selection. In the Asian division, Damien “kpii” Chok from TNC Predator was chosen as the first selection, and Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong from Fnatic was also a contender. However, Jabz was later released by the team and replaced by Nico “eyyou” Barcelon.

Lelis previously missed out on the MVP award at the ESL One Birmingham, losing to Lu “Somnus” Yao from former PSG.LGD. However, he later joined QC as a stand-in and eventually became a permanent member of the team.

QC’s victory at the ESL One Thailand marks their sixth consecutive win in Dota 2 tournaments. They are now preparing to defend their title at the Beyond The Summit Pro Series Season Three.
