Legendary lineup falls short in current Dota Pro Circuit

OG Dota 2 Knocked Out of Western European Closed Qualifiers

OG Dota 2 fans were disappointed as the Old G squad, featuring Topson, n0tail, and Ceb, faced unexpected upsets in the final rounds of the Western European Closed Qualifiers. Despite high expectations, OG Dota 2’s season came to an end prematurely.

OG Dota 2’s first series was against Ooredoo Thunders (OT), a team with high-ranked players from the region. Surprisingly, the two teams were evenly matched, and OG Dota 2 struggled to find their footing. OT executed their strategies flawlessly, which led to OG Dota 2 being knocked down to the lower bracket.

In their second series, OG Dota 2 faced Monaspa, a team with well-known players like W1sh, Skylark, and SsaSpartan. Once again, OG Dota 2 failed to perform as their cores couldn’t make an impact. Monaspa maintained control throughout both matches, leaving OG Dota 2 playing catch-up.

Despite a glimmer of hope, Monaspa dominated the map, crushing OG Dota 2’s attempt to catch up. This disappointing result means that OG Dota 2 will have to wait until the second DPC tour to compete again. Their future in the competitive scene remains uncertain.

Despite the setbacks, OG Dota 2 fans can still look forward to the team’s participation in third-party tournaments. However, they will have to wait for the first tour of the 2023 DPC to see OG Dota 2 in action again.
