Leaked Details of Dota 2’s New Hero, Muerta
Last heard about four months ago, Dota 2’s newest hero, Muerta, and her abilities have remained a mystery. However, leaked information from internal game files now offers fans a glimpse into what her abilities might be.
Valve announced that the Mournful Revenant will be released in early 2023, but there has been no real information about Muerta until now, thanks to the leaked details on DOTA_DM Telegram.
The leaked files contain placeholder imagery, including sketches, concept art, and even memes. One ability, labeled “stick_em_up,” features a meme as its imagery.
The file names provide some insight into Muerta’s abilities. Some abilities are referred to as “bird_samurai,” “corpse_mother,” or “gunslinger,” with placeholder imagery from Gyrocopter’s abilities.
Although there is limited data in the leak, the move names suggest potential concepts for Muerta’s abilities. Abilities like “Fan the Hammer” and “Reload” indicate shooting mechanics. “Powered Rounds” could enhance her shots, while “Hail of Bullets” and “Trickshot” might involve long-range attacks.
In Muerta’s ghostly abilities, referred to as “corpse_mother,” names like “Life Link,” “Soul Swell,” and “True Love” may play a significant role. As for the “bird_samurai” abilities, such as “Avian Assault” and “Plumage Party,” it remains to be seen how they will be incorporated into Muerta’s design.
