KuroKy achieves milestone of 200 games played at The International 2019

KuroKy Breaks Record with 200 Games Played at The International 2019

Team Liquid may have fallen short of securing their second Aegis of Champions at The International 2019, but their captain, Kuro “KuroKy” Takhasomi, made history by breaking the record for the most games played at the tournament.

KuroKy, one of the two players to have attended every International since its inception in 2011, became the first player to reach 204 games played on Dota’s biggest stage.

The race to break 200 games played was closely contested between KuroKy and his former teammate Clement “Puppey” Ivanov throughout their stay in Shanghai. However, only KuroKy managed to achieve the milestone as Team Liquid swept Team Secret in the lower bracket’s semifinals, preventing Puppey from reaching the 200-game mark.

Even though Liquid eventually fell to OG in the grand finals, KuroKy added another achievement to his growing list. Alongside holding the record for 204 games played across nine Internationals and being one of two players to compete in every TI, he was also the first player to achieve 1,000 career wins and the only player to have played 116 Dota 2 heroes in competitive matches.

KuroKy, at the age of 26, shows no signs of slowing down. Fans can expect him to continue performing at a high level in the upcoming season.
