KuroKy and Team Liquid Dominate The International 7 Grand Finals
Kuro Salehi “KuroKy” Takhasomi, a legendary player in Dota 2, has finally achieved the ultimate accolade by winning The International championship. In the grand finals, Team Liquid completely dominated Newbee, winning every single game convincingly.
In the first game, Ivan “MinD_ControL” Ivanov showed his dominance with Nature’s Prophet, complementing his team’s aggressive draft with his global presence. His performance solidified the fact that his Furion was a must-ban hero.
Game two started well for Newbee, with Song “Sccc” Chun’s Queen of Pain securing early kills on Amer “Miracle-” Al-Barkawi’s Alchemist. However, Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen turned the tide with clutch Reaper’s Scythes, and a critical mistake by kpii allowed Liquid to secure their second win.
The third game was intense, with both teams trading kills. Miracle on Juggernaut faced frequent control from Newbee, but his clutch Black King Bar usage into Omnislash at the Roshan pit tipped the scales in Liquid’s favor.
Liquid’s advantage proved too much for Newbee to overcome, and they easily sieged the Radiant base. Newbee graciously accepted defeat, conceding the Aegis of Champions to Liquid.
In a remarkable comeback, Liquid won every single series in the elimination rounds despite falling to the lower bracket in the first round. This victory is the first title for every player on Liquid, including Maroun “GH” Merhej, who has tasted immediate success in his first year as a professional player.
Despite the initial dominance of Chinese teams in the main event playoffs, the tradition of the east and west trading wins at The International continues. With the Dota season now over, fans can look forward to the inevitable post-TI roster shuffle.
