Introducing Dota 2’s Latest Hero: Muerta and Her Complete Abilities

Muerta is the newest hero in Dota 2, bringing the total to 124. Players are still trying to figure out her role, as her initial win rate was only 39%. Let’s take a closer look at Muerta’s abilities and how to use them effectively.

Muerta’s Abilities

Muerta has four abilities like most Dota 2 heroes. These include a burst damage spell, an area of effect control spell, a passive ability, and her ultimate ability. Each spell has its own unique use in battle, so it’s important to understand her abilities before picking her.

  • Dead Shot: Muerta fires a bullet that can bounce off enemies or trees. When it hits an enemy for the first time, excluding trees, the target is slowed by 100% for 0.5 seconds. The bullet then bounces off and deals up to 300 damage to other units in its path, causing a fear effect for two seconds.
  • The Calling: Muerta creates a circle on the ground that is patrolled by four revenants. When an enemy passes through the circle, they are silenced for up to 3.5 seconds and take up to 180 damage per hit. Units inside the circle also have their attack speed slowed by 60% and movement speed slowed by 30%.
  • Gunslinger: Muerta’s passive ability gives her a chance, up to 50%, to fire an additional shot with each attack. This shot prioritizes heroes, deals full damage, and pierces spell immunity.
  • Pierce The Veil: Muerta becomes ethereal for up to eight seconds. During this time, her physical damage is converted into magic damage, with an additional 100 damage per shot. She can still activate Gunslinger and deals bonus damage to ethereal units. However, this ability does no damage to magic immune units.
