Infamous Upsets Vici Gaming in First Game of Series

Infamous surprised fans with a stunning victory over Vici Gaming in the first game of their series today. Although Vici won the second game easily, this loss has put them in a tie with OG for the top spot in Group B.
The South American newcomers faced off against Vici, who have been dominating Group B. Instead of backing down, Infamous confidently picked their heroes and played aggressively.
All of the players on Infamous are making their first appearance at TI, and they have the youngest average age among all the teams. Despite their inexperience, Infamous played fearlessly and showed incredible composure.
In game one, Hector “K1” Rodriguez dominated as Lifestealer, consistently leading in net worth. Meanwhile, Jean “Chris Luck” Gonzales on Storm Spirit and Elvis “Scofield” De la Cruz Peña on Tiny constantly picked off key targets, causing trouble for Vici.
After securing an Aegis and mega creeps, Infamous finished the game while Vici desperately tried to defend. This marked Vici’s first loss of the tournament.
The second game lasted only 30 minutes, as Paparazi and Ori took their earlier loss personally and crushed Infamous with Faceless Void and Sniper, respectively.
While Infamous’ confident attitude led them to victory in game one, their hero choices in game two showed misplaced confidence. Vici capitalized on this and easily defeated them.
With this defeat, Vici now shares the top spot in Group B with OG. OG also had a successful day, winning all their games against Evil Geniuses and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
OG’s unconventional carry Io pick for Anathan “ana” Pham in both games against NiP paid off. Despite Io’s traditionally low win rate as a support hero, OG demonstrated that it can be effective as a core.
Vici and OG have one more matchup today. If both teams win their series, they will have a great chance of starting the main event in the upper bracket.
