Infamous Gaming, the Peruvian underdog team that captured the attention of the community at The International 2019, has announced that they will be staying together for the upcoming Dota 2 season.

Young Squad Aims to Grow After Impressive TI Run

The team’s captain also stated that their experience at The International 2019 was invaluable and will contribute to the growth of the players, who have been playing together for less than three months.

Infamous entered TI with the youngest average age among the teams and had one of the least-experienced lineups, but their resilience and skill led them to a top 8 finish, making them the highest-placing South American team at The International.

In addition, the team earned over $850,000 in prize money at the tournament, with StingeR becoming the highest-earning Peruvian player in any game, accumulating over $236,000 from his professional Dota 2 career, according to Esports Earnings.

The South American Dota 2 scene is still in its early stages, but Infamous is committed to its development. Fans will have the opportunity to see if they can continue their success in the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit season.
