Infamous crushed by Secret at The International 2019

Team Secret Dominates Infamous at The International 2019

Team Secret emerged victorious against Infamous at The International 2019 with a 2-0 series win. The European powerhouse showcased their skills, while the Peruvian fan favorites displayed their talent, disproving doubters of South American Dota 2.

In the first game, Team Secret strategically banned Infamous’ comfortable heroes, including Hector Antonio “K1” Rodriguez’s signature Wraith King. They picked Shadow Demon and Mirana as support, complementing their cores with strong teamfight abilities. Despite a strong start from Team Secret, Infamous stabilized the early game with Magnus Empower, allowing K1 to farm. Infamous showed their map rotation skills, while Team Secret applied pressure to towers. However, Team Secret’s Michał “Nisha” Jankowski’s Faceless Void and well-timed Chronospheres helped them make a comeback and secure the victory.

In the second game, Team Secret banned Wraith King and opted for Faceless Void once again, forming a formidable teamfight combo with Enigma. Infamous struggled to find their footing as Team Secret aggressively took control and targeted Infamous’ main playmaker, Chris Luck. K1 managed to farm, but the rest of Infamous fell behind. In a crucial mistake, K1 rushed in during the Roshan fight and used Rage too early, resulting in his death and a victory for Team Secret.

Although Infamous’ journey ended at this tournament, they can be proud of their achievements. Finishing in eighth place with $840,000 in winnings, they have gained new fans and showcased the talent in South America.

Team Secret will now face Vici Gaming in the upcoming match. Both teams were considered strong contenders for the championship at The International 2019, but one of them will exit the event with a top-six placement.
