The Early Eliminations in WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon
The group stage for WePlay! Dota 2 Tug of War: Mad Moon is almost complete, which means the first two teams have already been eliminated from the competition after being beaten twice during the opening day.
Infamous had an uphill battle, losing to Gambit Esports in their first series, and then facing off against Danil “Dendi” Ishutin’s newly formed organization. Unfortunately, they were unable to secure a victory, resulting in their elimination with a 0-4 record.
Ninjas in Pyjamas had a competitive opening game against Nigma, but couldn’t close it out. They were then defeated by Aggressive Mode in a closely contested series, which included a decisive game three where NiP fell short. As a result, NiP will be heading home and preparing for the ESL One LA Major.
Matches will resume at 6am CT when Gambit plays B8 to decide the remaining Group A seeding for the playoffs, followed by Nigma and Aggressive Mode playing in Group B.
