Iceiceice shares his experience of being removed from Team Secret’s Dota 2 roster

Iceiceice Returns to SEA After Time with Team Secret

Iceiceice, an experienced offlaner in the world of Dota 2, has made his way back to the Southeast Asian (SEA) region. After spending the past two years playing in North America and Europe as a member of Team Secret, he has been released from the roster. Iceiceice has recently resumed streaming and shared his experiences on Team Secret with his viewers. You can check out his insights in the video below:

Disappointment and Departure from Team Secret

Despite learning valuable lessons during his time on Team Secret, Iceiceice expressed concerns about potentially being kicked from the team if they failed to qualify for the Arlington Major. In the third tour of the Western European DPC, Team Secret found themselves tied with Team Entity for the last Major spot. Although Team Secret initially performed well with a 52-minute victory in the first match, they struggled in the following two matches and ultimately lost the Major spot to Team Entity.

Transition to New Opportunities

Shortly after the tough defeat in the DPC tiebreakers, Team Secret had the Riyadh Masters tournament on their schedule. Iceiceice was replaced by Roman “Resolut1on” Fomynok for this event. Team Secret officially welcomed Resolut1on to their roster while bidding farewell to Iceiceice at the beginning of August.

Reflecting on his departure, Iceiceice mentioned that he had gained valuable insights from fellow teammate Puppey during his time on the team. While he was content with parting ways, he also expressed his excitement about experiencing the esports scene in his home region. However, Iceiceice revealed that he faced difficulties within the team after YapzOr took an extended break due to health issues. The language barrier between Iceiceice and the stand-in player, Zayac, made communication challenging.

New Beginnings with Team SMG

After a challenging season where he couldn’t attend any Major events, Iceiceice is now embarking on a new journey in his home region with Team SMG. Although his new team won’t compete in The International 2022 qualifiers due to a missed signing deadline, Iceiceice still hopes to contribute to TI11 as a guest or an analyst.

Best wishes to Iceiceice as he takes on this new chapter in his esports career!
