Gpk leaves Gambit Esports, joins VP.Prodigy

Danil “gpk” Skutin Joins VP.Prodigy as Gambit Esports Departure

Danil “gpk” Skutin has officially left Gambit Esports after spending several months as a stand-in for other Dota 2 teams. He will now join the ranks of VP.Prodigy as they undergo a restructuring process following the departure of some players. Meanwhile, the main Virtus Pro roster, which has not competed in a tournament since September, is still undecided on its future.

Transitioning to VP.Prodigy

Gpk, a rising star in the CIS region, briefly played with VP.P at OGA Dota PIT Season Three in September. Despite finishing second behind Team Secret, this experience left a positive impression on the organization. Although VP had previously considered bringing gpk onboard, it was the circumstances surrounding Gambit’s inactive roster that ultimately paved the way for his joining VP.Prodigy.

A Promising Addition to the Team

VP general manager Sergey “F1y1eaf” Glamazda stated, “Danil is not only a promising player but has already proven himself on the professional stage. He performed exceptionally well as a stand-in for us at OGA Dota Pit Season 3. It is particularly pleasing that Danil will be joining a team of like-minded individuals and players with whom he already has established personal connections. Character, compatibility, and chemistry in Dota are key factors that influence the outcome.”

Team Restructuring Continues

Despite gpk’s arrival, VP.P is still in search of a replacement for Albert “eine” Garaev, who recently left to join Gambit on October 20.
