Gambit Parts Ways with Second Dota 2 Lineup

Gambit Esports Drops Secondary Dota 2 Lineup

Gambit Esports has made another roster change ahead of the final 2022 Dota Pro Circuit Tour. Less than a month after releasing its main roster, Gambit Esports has also dropped its secondary Dota 2 lineup. The team, led by AfterLife, will continue to play together under a new tag. However, Gambit has not announced plans to remain in the Dota scene with a new roster at this time.

New Tag for AfterLife and His Team

The now-former iteration of Gambit’s roster was signed last November. However, the organization decided to make big changes after failing to qualify for The International 10. AfterLife was moved from AS Monaco Gambit to the regular Gambit lineup in this roster shift. While competing in Division II of the Eastern Europe regional league, AfterLife’s team outperformed Gambit’s main roster and recently qualified for a promotion to Division I for the final Tour of the DPC season.

AfterLife and his team will stick together and continue playing in the current DPC format under the One Move tag. They will retain their spot in EEU’s Division I. It seems that Gambit and the roster have amicably parted ways.

The New Stage for AfterLife and His Team

In a statement, AfterLife expressed his gratitude to Gambit Esports and their belief in the team. He mentioned that they do not plan to quit halfway through and that all players and coaching staff will continue to work together. AfterLife also mentioned that they are in the process of forming a pool of team partners, which will be announced as soon as everything is ready.

Gambit Esports’ Current Roster

The current roster of AfterLife’s team consists of:
– Alexey “Smiling Knight” Sviridov
– Maksym “mellojul” Pnev
– AfterLife
– Oleg “sayuw” Kalenbet
– Nikita “Pantomem” Balaganin
– Timur “Ahilles” Kulmuhambetov (coach)
– Alexander “StrangeR” Solomonov (manager)

With this roster change, Gambit now only holds rosters in Apex Legends and VALORANT. The organization recently parted ways with its Fortnite players and had its CS:GO lineup acquired by Cloud9 back in April.
