Gambit Esports Announces Official Departure of fng

Gambit Esports Captain Artsiom “fng” Barshak Leaves Team

Gambit Esports, a prominent name in the Dota 2 scene, is undergoing significant roster changes with the departure of their captain, Artsiom “fng” Barshak. With his contract expiring on August 31, both sides have decided not to renew it. This marks the end of Barshak’s two-year tenure with the team.

Alliance Stint and Future Endeavors

Although now a free agent, Barshak is likely to find a new team soon. Since May, he has been playing as a stand-in for Alliance, a Swedish organization. This collaboration has been fruitful for both parties, as Alliance consistently achieved top-eight placements in every tournament they participated in with Barshak.

Current Gambit Roster and Uncertain Future

With Barshak’s departure, the current roster of Gambit Esports features Kiyalbek “dream” Tayirov, Gpk, Maxim “Shachlo” Abramovskikh (inactive), Danial “XSvamp1Re” Alibaev, and Nikolay “distilled” Prokhorenko as the coach. However, the future of the remaining Gambit players remains uncertain, especially for star mid-laner Danil “gpk” Skutin. Teams like Virtus Pro have previously expressed interest in signing gpk, adding to the speculation about potential roster moves.

During Gambit’s break from competition, gpk has played with FlyToMoon and HellRaisers in various capacities. However, the team has not made any official announcements regarding transfers or other roster changes. Fans eagerly await updates on Gambit’s plans going forward.
