Gaimin Gladiators Make History with Consecutive Dota 2 Major Victories

Gaimin Gladiators Triumph over Team Liquid at Dota 2’s Berlin Major

Gaimin Gladiators once again showcased their unparalleled skill as they emerged victorious over Team Liquid at the Berlin Major in Dota 2, securing their second consecutive Major title in 2023.

Following their intense showdown at the Lima Major finals, GG and Liquid engaged in a fierce battle, with Liquid putting up a stronger fight this time around.

Despite Liquid’s improved performance, GG proved themselves as the reigning Major champions even after the game-changing balance update, 7.33.

In just a month since the release of the latest patch, GG quickly established their dominance. Their comfort picks like Keeper of the Light and Pangolier proved to be crucial in the finals.

While Liquid’s Nisha finally found a worthy opponent in mid lane against GG’s Quinn Callahan, Anton “dyrachyo” Shkredov’s consistent and solid performances as a core player solidified GG’s lead in most of the series, ultimately resulting in a 3-1 victory.

With this triumph, GG becomes the fourth team in Dota 2 history to win two consecutive Majors, joining the ranks of OG, VP, and PSG.LGD. Given their dominant performance, they are guaranteed participation in The International 2023 unless there are major roster changes, which seems unlikely.

Although Liquid has consistently fallen short of glory in Majors, their impressive results in the regional Dota Pro Circuit have secured their spot at TI12.
