Gaimin Gladiators Explored Multiple ‘Top 5’ Talents before Recruiting Quinn for Dota 2 Lineup

Gaimin Gladiators Look to Strengthen Roster After Disappointing Performance at The International

Gaimin Gladiators ended their 2022 campaign on a disappointing note at The International. However, the team wasted no time in the roster shuffle season and recently added Quinn Callahan to their lineup.

Considering Top Talent for Mid-laner Position

In a post-match interview with Erik “tOfu” Engel during DreamLeague season 20, it was revealed that Gaimin Gladiators were considering several top players for their mid-laner position. This included Quinn, Michał “Nisha” Jankowski, Rafli “Mikoto” Rahman, and Abed Yusop. The goal was to recruit a mid-laner who could compete among the top five in the world.

Quinn Callahan a Promising Addition

tOfu expressed that Quinn Callahan seemed like a great fit for the team. He praised Quinn’s excellent communication skills, easygoing nature, and strong work ethic.

Positive Results Since Quinn’s Arrival

Since Quinn joined Gaimin Gladiators, the Western European squad has experienced significant improvements. They have secured back-to-back Major victories, a rare feat in the Dota 2 scene, and have also earned a spot at TI12.

Despite their disappointing performance in 2022, Gaimin Gladiators’ pursuit of top mid-laner talent shows their commitment to addressing their weaknesses and improving as a team.

BOOM Finds New Home in Team Secret

Meanwhile, Gaimin Gladiators’ former mid-laner, Miroslav “BOOM” Bičan, has joined Team Secret. However, his time with the team has been challenging.

BOOM transitioned to the offlane role but was released by Team Secret as they opted to recruit native offlane players for their final push to qualify for TI12. If Secret fails to qualify, it will mark the end of Clement “Puppey” Ivanov’s streak of attending all TIs.
