Former The International champion, ChuaN, makes competitive Dota 2 comeback

Neon Esports Completes Roster for Dota 2 International with former winner ChuaN

The International, the most prestigious event on the Dota 2 Pro Circuit’s calendar, is approaching, and teams from around the world are gearing up to secure their ticket. Neon Esports, in particular, has completed its roster with a former champion, ChuaN.

ChuaN, who had been absent from the competitive Dota 2 scene as a player since 2018, joined Neon Esports as a coach in late 2021. Under his guidance, the team achieved a fifth-place finish in the SEA DPC Division One, narrowly missing out on qualifying for the Stockholm Major by a single tiebreaker.

Although ChuaN primarily coached the team throughout the last season, he also had a chance to play with the squad during the BTS Pro Series. He took on the position five role in the tournament, and Neon Esports secured a seventh-eighth place finish, earning a share of the prize pool.

This year’s TI will be held in Singapore, making it a must-attend tournament for all SEA teams. The home crowd support can provide teams with a confidence boost in crucial moments, and ChuaN is no stranger to playing in front of large crowds. As a member of the legendary Invictus squad, the first Chinese team to win a TI, ChuaN brings valuable experience to Neon Esports. With ChuaN on their side, Neon Esports is likely aiming for the top, and they have just a few months to prove themselves.
