Fnatic places Masaros on inactive roster for Dota Pro Circuit’s second season

Fnatic removes Masaros from active roster after poor performance at ONE Esports Singapore Major

Fnatic has decided to remove Natthaphon “Masaros” Ouanphakdee from its active roster following the disappointing performance of their Dota 2 team at the ONE Esports Singapore Major.

Masaros, who joined Fnatic last November, will now have the opportunity to explore other options as he has been placed on the organization’s inactive roster temporarily.

Disappointing performance at the Major

Fnatic entered the Major as the top-seed from Southeast Asia and were placed in the upper bracket of the playoffs. However, despite their favorable seeding, the team only managed to win one game in two series. They were swept by Evil Geniuses and had a 1-2 record against the underdog SEA squad, Neon Esports.

As a result of their poor performance, Fnatic finished joint-ninth at the Major and did not receive any prize money or Dota Pro Circuit points.

Looking to improve the roster

As they head into the second season of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit, Fnatic appears to be focused on enhancing their roster before the matches begin later this month.

“Masaros joined us at a time of need, and together we were able to achieve many great feats in the first season of 2021,” said Fnatic head coach Lee “SunBhie” Jeong-jae. “Though we say our goodbyes today, I have no doubt that we will see more of Masaros in the future as a formidable opponent.”

No further roster changes announced

Apart from Masaros being moved to the inactive roster, no additional roster moves have been announced by Fnatic.
