Fnatic parts ways with ChYuan, Deth for upcoming Dota Pro Circuit season

Fnatic Drops ChYuan and Deth, Returns to Three-Man Core

Fnatic has officially released ChYuan and Deth, returning to its three-man core that started the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit season. DJ, Jabz, and Raven remained with the team throughout the DPC season, achieving a top finish in season one but underperforming and placing ninth at the ONE Esports Singapore Major.

After a disappointing performance, Fnatic replaced Masaros with ChYuan for season two, but the change did not bring the desired results. With ChYuan, Fnatic finished fourth and missed out on attending the WePlay AniMajor, forcing them to play in the Southeast Asian qualifiers for a chance to compete at The International 10.

Prior to the TI10 qualifiers, Fnatic made another change, adding Deth to the team in place of Moon. This adjustment had a significant impact, as Fnatic swept through the qualifiers, defeating teams that had previously given them trouble. They secured their ticket to Bucharest with a 3-2 victory over TNC Predator.

During the group stage, Fnatic struggled to stand out from other teams and ultimately lost to Team Spirit, the eventual International champions, in the lower bracket. Despite this setback, Fnatic expressed gratitude for their performance on Dota’s grandest stage.

Looking ahead, Fnatic is now focusing on rebuilding its roster for the next DPC season. The contracts of ChYuan and Deth expired at the end of TI10, and the organization is seeking new players who align with their strategic direction.
