Falcons soar into Dota 2 season with ATF, former Tundra duo

Saudi-backed Esports Organization Falcons Strengthens Dota 2 Roster with Tundra Core

Saudi-backed esports organization Falcons has made a significant move in the Dota 2 scene by acquiring two of the Tundra Esports core players who won The International 2022. It is a promising start as the Dota competitive season resumes this week.

A Competitive Roster for Falcons

Jingjun “Sneyking” Wu, a support player, and Oliver “skiter” Lepko, a top-ranked carry player, are the key players for the Falcons’ roster. They will be joined by Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf, who will take on the offlane position. ATF, who had previously played for OG, Nigma Galaxy, and Quest Esports, was unable to participate in TI 2023 but is now ready to make his mark with Falcons.

Announcement and Formation

The formation of the roster was spotted by observant Dota fans when the squad signed up for the Kuala Lumpur qualifiers on FACEIT. Although the official announcement was made on November 11, this early indication showed that the Falcons had made their move following Tundra’s breakup after TI 2023.

A Mix of Experience and Potential

The roster is completed by Andreas “Cr1t-” Nielsen, who recently joined Falcons after leaving Shopify Rebellion. With 12 years of competitive Dota experience, Nielsen brings valuable expertise to the team. Additionally, the young rookie Stanislav “Malr1ne” Potorak, who had previously played for Creepwave and Nemiga Gaming, will take on the mid-lane role.

Falcons’ Expansion into Dota 2

Falcons has been actively exploring various esports opportunities, including a potential spot in League of Legends’ LEC and the formation of a new superteam in Counter-Strike 2. While these plans didn’t materialize, Falcons is now fully focused on making a mark in Dota 2.

Middle East and North Africa (MENA) qualifier for ESL One Kuala Lumpur

The new Falcons roster is set to compete in the MENA qualifier for ESL One Kuala Lumpur, which will take place in mid-December.
