Fade returns from retirement to join Team Aster

Former Vici Gaming Captain Pan “Fade” Yi Joins Team Aster

Just two weeks after announcing his retirement, former Vici Gaming captain Pan “Fade” Yi has reversed his decision and joined Team Aster. This completes Aster’s roster for the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit season.

Fade addressed the controversy surrounding the Royal Never Give Up player transfer tampering and clarified the events that occurred during The International 2019 in a lengthy explanation.

RNG was accused of attempting to recruit Fade during TI9, which led to demands for an explanation from Vici’s management.

Fade’s contract with Vici Gaming expired, allowing him to join Team Aster as a free agent. He mentioned that several teams approached him before TI9 with knowledge of the expiring contract, but he declined their offers in order to focus on TI.

When RNG was eliminated, Fade spent time with his friend Du “Monet” Peng. He denied any tampering but acknowledged his improper conduct during the competition and apologized to Vici and his fans.

The ex-Vici captain denied allegations of instigating events for a transfer or higher salary. He explained that he prioritized being in a strong team to win championships and fulfill his earnings.

Despite the rocky journey with Vici, Fade hopes the organization will understand his decision.

After reflecting on the transfer controversy and feeling pressured, Fade initially retired but now views it as a coward’s escape. He will join Team Aster as the hard support, transitioning from his previous role as position four on Vici. Sccc, another new signing, will move from the mid lane to the hard carry position for the team.

Created by Chinese legend Xu “BurNing” Zhilei in 2018, Team Aster has struggled to achieve notable results. This year, they have assembled a top-tier squad with proven talent from other teams, including Fade and Sccc.
