Evil Geniuses, Unsponsored Teams and Gaming Warriors Secure Spots at Dota 2’s The International 2022

Three More Teams Qualify for The International 2022

As Dota 2’s Arlington Major approaches its end, three teams have secured their spots at The International 2022, earning the final set of direct invites. Evil Geniuses, Outsiders, and Gaimin Gladiators claimed their invites on the first day of the playoffs, while other teams were eliminated from the Dota Pro Circuit’s Summer Tour.

Outsiders Defeat RNG to Secure TI11 Invite

In a 2-0 victory against Royal Never Give Up (RNG), Outsiders overcame a slow start in the upper bracket and secured their spot at TI11. This win boosted their DPC points to 1,020.05, just above Fnatic. Outsiders still have the chance to earn more points in the Arlington Major, but they have already secured their place at Dota’s biggest stage.

Evil Geniuses and Gaimin Gladiators Also Qualify

Alongside Outsiders, Evil Geniuses and Gaimin Gladiators have also officially qualified for TI11. Despite their early elimination from the Major, Evil Geniuses secured their spot with 1,052.5 DPC points, thanks to the performance of beastcoast. Gaimin Gladiators, on the other hand, couldn’t make it to the Arlington Major, but their 1,130 DPC points were enough to secure them a spot.

All 12 Direct Invites Announced for TI11

The 12 teams that have earned direct invites for The International 2022 are PSG.LGD, OG, Beastcoast, Thunder Awaken, Team Spirit, BOOM Esports, Team Aster, TSM, Tundra Esports, Gaimin Gladiators, Evil Geniuses, and Outsiders.

However, there are still eight spots left in the tournament. Teams from each region will have the opportunity to qualify, and two additional teams will have a chance through Last Chance Qualifiers.
