Evil Geniuses’ elimination dashes North America’s hopes at The International 10 by Vici Gaming

Evil Geniuses eliminated by Vici Gaming in epic showdown

Evil Geniuses, the top team of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit season, has been knocked out of The International 10 by Vici Gaming. Despite a strong performance throughout the season, EG couldn’t withstand VG’s incredible gameplay.

The series between these two teams was intense, with EG winning the first game in just 22 minutes. However, VG didn’t let that affect their performance. They bounced back and played a composed and well-paced game in the second match.

VG played by finding opportunities to counter EG’s moves. They made strategic choices and executed strong teamfights, ultimately shaping the late game in their favor.

In game three, VG continued their steady approach, not panicking when EG took an early lead. Their smart whittling of EG’s creepwaves using Enchantress and Lycan’s abilities gave them an advantage. EG’s star players, Arteezy and Abed, couldn’t turn the tide in their favor.

This is EG’s worst placement in the Fly era, finishing in the top 12 at TI10. On the other hand, VG has secured a spot in the top eight and will face T1 in the next round. They have the chance to advance to the top six, representing the strength of the Chinese region alongside PSG.LGD and Invictus Gaming.

EG’s elimination and VG’s dominance highlight the unpredictable and competitive nature of The International 10. Stay tuned for more thrilling matches as the tournament progresses.
