Evil Geniuses and Quincy Crew secure spots in Singapore Major with NA DPC tiebreaker victories

The final matches of the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit regional league are underway in five out of six regions. Tiebreakers are critical in determining which teams will qualify for the ONE Esports Singapore Major in March.

Evil Geniuses and Quincy Crew have secured spots as the representatives of the North American region. Undying was defeated in the tiebreaker bracket today.

At the end of the regular season, all three teams had an overall record of 6-1, with their only losses coming from each other. To determine the qualifiers for the Major, a three-way playoff was held, with the winners advancing and the third team preparing for the second season.

Tal “Fly” Aizik and his team swiftly defeated Undying in the first game and then took down QC to secure the top seed.

The final spot was determined by a 50-minute match between QC and Undying. Yawar “YawaR” Hassan’s Juggernaut and Quinn Callahan’s Puck led QC to victory and secured their ticket to the Major.

As a result, EG will participate in the Major Playoffs, while QC will start in the group stage when the event commences on March 27.

Only the representatives from China are yet to be determined for the Major. The region’s DPC league took a break between weeks three, four, and five. Matches will resume on March 4, with four Major spots still up for grabs.
