Essential Information on Dota 2 Patch 7.24b

Valve Releases Latest Dota 2 Patch Before Pro Circuit Begins

Valve has released the most recent Dota 2 patch ahead of the third round of the Dota Pro Circuit. The recent qualifiers and tournaments have given fans a good idea of the current meta.

Nerfs Hit Items and Heroes

The latest sub-patch focuses mainly on nerfs. Five items and 12 heroes were affected by these changes.

Item Nerfs

Bracer:
– Magic resistance reduced from 5% to 4%.

Desolator:
– Armor reduction reduced from 7 to 6.
– Damage increased from 50 to 60.

Diffusal Blade:
– Mana burnt per attack reduced from 50 to 40.

Maelstrom:
– Chain lightning bounce distance reduced from 900 to 650.

Mjollnir:
– Chain lightning bounce distance reduced from 900 to 650.

Most nerfs targeted the popular damage items in the 7.24 patch.

Bracers Are Valuable Early Stat Items

Bracers are the most powerful and useful early stat items. They provide 120 health and bonus magic resistance. Stacking them gives heroes the ability to absorb additional damage.

Diffusal Blade Now Useful for Agility Cores

Diffusal Blade has become a viable upgrade for almost every agility core hero. Mana burn is a powerful mechanic that becomes even more effective against strength heroes with lower mana pools.

Maelstrom and Mjollnir Nerfs Improve Balance

Maelstrom and Mjollnir are efficient farming items in the game, especially for heroes like Lifestealer. The range nerf allows supports to fight from a safer distance.

Hero Nerfs

Slardar received significant nerfs due to his rise in popularity as an offlaner and support. Guardian Sprint’s mana cost has been reinstated, making it costly for a hero with frequent mana issues. Bash of the Deep and Corrosive Haze also had their damage reduced.

Enchantress, despite being highly contested, received only one change. The mana cost of Impetus has been increased across all levels, which can impact her ability to spam the ability.

Lifestealer, the most popular safelane choice, has received nerfs to his attack speed and base damage. However, his new Feast and Infest abilities still make him a viable pick.

Snapfire’s strong AoE damage output with Mortimer Kisses has been adjusted. The hero’s versatility with stuns, forced movement, and potential healing has been realized by players and developers.

Tiny, Io, and Puck, who have remained dominant in the meta despite previous nerfs, have received further adjustments in this patch.

With these changes, the Dota 2 meta is sure to experience a shift. Stay tuned for updates and further developments.
