Epic League Closed Qualifier Announces Roster and Format

Epic League Closed Qualifier: New Teams Compete for Playoffs Spot

The Epic League Closed Qualifier is all set to begin, featuring a group stage with four groups consisting of new Dota 2 teams. These teams will battle it out to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Two teams, Tempo Esports and EXTREMUM, secured their places in the closed qualifiers by dominating the open qualifiers. However, Nemiga Gaming also managed to sneak into the closed qualifiers after the event concluded.

Unfortunately, Cyber Legacy, one of the original 14 invited teams, withdrew from the event without providing any specific reason. As a result, Nemiga, who finished third in the open qualifiers, was called up as a replacement.

The groups for the EPICLeague closed qualifiers have been announced, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the playoffs. The winners of the playoffs will then move on to the group stage of the first division, where a prize pool of $500,000 awaits.

Starting on November 3, the closed qualifiers will feature 16 teams divided into four groups, each using a double elimination format. The top two teams from each group will proceed to the playoffs, resulting in a total of eight teams vying for a spot in the Epic League Division One lineup.

At the end of the qualifiers, the two teams that make it out of the playoffs will join teams like Team Secret, OG, and Team Liquid in Epic League Division One.

While details about the teams in Division Two have not been announced yet, the event promises an exciting competition for fans of Dota 2 and esports in general.
