Epic Esports Events Partners with GRID Esports for New Dota 2 Champions League

Epic Esports Events is excited to announce its partnership with GRID esports for the launch of a new Dota 2 Champions League. This league will feature a series of at least five events, showcasing teams from the European competitive scene. It is named after the original D2CL, which Epic ran from 2013 to 2018.

Open Qualifiers and Event Details

The first event of the D2CL will have open qualifiers held on April 4 and 5. The group stage of the event will run from April 5 to 10, followed by the finals on April 11 and 12. Due to the current circumstances, this event will be conducted entirely online. It boasts a prize pool of $25,000, with 15 out of the 20 participating teams receiving direct invites.

For the group stage, the following teams have received direct invites:

  • Team Empire

  • Trident
