This Year’s Dota 2 Battle Level and Immortal Treasure Bundle
The highly anticipated Dota 2 Battle Level and Immortal Treasure bundle for this year has arrived. It comes just in time to commemorate the conclusion of the regional qualifiers for The International 8.
Similar to last year’s International Battle Pass, this bundle offers additional Battle Pass levels at a discounted price. For $24.99, purchasers will receive 100 Battle Pass levels and seven pieces each of the two Immortal treasures released so far. This promotion will be available from June 28 to July 2.
The Impressive Value of the Bundle
Normally, a pack of 75 Battle Pass levels costs $36.99 and does not include any Immortal treasures. With the bundle, however, players can enjoy 75 percent savings compared to buying the levels and treasures separately. This calculation takes into account the number of levels required to obtain those treasures in the first place.
It is important to note that this year’s bundle is limited to one purchase per account. As usual, 25 percent of the revenue generated from the bundle’s sales will contribute to the prize pool for TI8.
The Impact on the Prize Pool
Since the launch of the promo, the prize pool for TI8 has surged from $15.8 million to $17.2 million at the time of writing. Despite this significant increase, TI8 is currently 10 percent behind last year’s prize pool for TI7, according to the prize tracker developed by Matthew “Cyborgmatt” Bailey, the manager of Team Secret.
Valve may encounter challenges in surpassing the success of the TI7 Battle Pass in terms of sales and contribution to the prize pool, given that this year’s bundle is limited to one purchase per account. However, considering the publisher’s past behavior, there may be more promotions expected in the future. Therefore, there is still hope for another record-breaking iteration of The International.
