EHOME recruits four players from Phoenix Gaming

EHOME adds four members from Phoenix Gaming to its roster for the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit season

Four players from Phoenix Gaming, Guo “shiro” Xuanang, Huang “7e” Heming, Lin “plAnet” Hao, and Zhang “zzq” Ziqiang, have been signed by EHOME, bringing the team closer to completing their roster for the next Dota Pro Circuit season. Here is the official announcement.

During the last DPC season, EHOME had experienced players on their roster but did not achieve impressive results, finishing in sixth place and narrowly avoiding relegation. While Yang “Chalice” Shenyi, Yap Jian “xNova” Wei, and Guo “Xm” Hongcheng have found new teams, Liu “Sylar” Jiajun and Pan “Fade” Yi have yet to announce their next moves.

Surprisingly, EHOME has decided to take a different approach this season, deviating from their previous emphasis on experience.

Phoenix Gaming had an outstanding performance in the previous DPC season, dominating the lower division and losing only one series throughout the season. Despite their lack of international success in recent years, the Chinese region remains highly competitive, and staying at the top requires more than just experience.

With this roster change, Hu “dolem” Sen will be left behind in Phoenix Gaming and is expected to work on reforming the roster. While all members of Phoenix Gaming have had previous stints with EHOME, shiro, 7e, plAnet, and zzq have recently played together under the team’s banner, while dolem was last part of the organization in 2018.

The current roster of EHOME includes:

  • Guo “shiro” Xuanang – Position one
  • Huang “7e” Heming – Position two
  • Lin “plAnet” Hao – Position four
  • Zhang “zzq” Ziqiang – Position five

EHOME has not yet announced its off laner, but the announcement is expected to come soon with the approaching DPC season. The new roster’s goal is likely to be nothing short of qualifying for the International. While becoming part of one of EHOME’s top clubs after dominating the second division is an achievement in itself, the players will face a new and more challenging journey when the 2021-2022 DPC season begins.
