EHOME claims victory at The Bucharest Minor

EHOME dominated the competition in the second minor of the 2018-19 Dota Pro Circuit, reaching the grand finals with a perfect 8-0 record. However, their perfect record was challenged by Gambit Esports in the finals of the Bucharest Minor.

Gambit faced Keen Gaming in the lower bracket finals and secured a hard-fought victory with a final kill/death ratio of 48-39. This win set up a rematch between EHOME and Gambit in the finals.

The fan voting before the match heavily favored Gambit, but EHOME quickly showed their dominance in game one. Despite Gambit’s efforts to scale back their offense based on their previous meeting, EHOME continued to tear them apart.

In game two, Gambit made some quick adjustments and caught EHOME by surprise. With a 31-21 kill/death ratio and excellent zoning performances, Gambit finally put a dent in EHOME’s unbeaten record.

With the series tied at 1-1, viewers were eagerly awaiting the next round. EHOME utilized their knowledge of the matchup and implemented bolder strategies, while Gambit fell back into old habits.

EHOME took a 2-1 lead heading into game four, and their superior play allowed them to dominate Gambit. The final match lasted only 28 minutes, with EHOME securing a decisive victory.

With a 3-1 victory, EHOME claimed first place and won a prize of $125,000 and 120 DPC points. As the winners of The Bucharest Minor, EHOME also earned a spot in The Chongqing Major, the second Major event of the DPC season.

The Chongqing Major will take place from Jan. 19 to 27 and will feature 16 teams competing for their share of a $1 million prize pool and 15,000 DPC points.
