Dota 2’s Secret Shop opening faced setbacks, resulting in closure

The International’s Dota 2 Secret Shop Closes Shortly After Opening

The highly anticipated Secret Shop for The International’s Dota 2, which sells exclusive merchandise leading up to TI7, has already closed its doors. Despite the initial excitement, the shop faced numerous issues that couldn’t be ignored.

The shop offered a range of cool Dota 2 merchandise, including plush toys and apparel. However, one major issue was the exorbitant shipping rates for international fans, with some countries not even being able to get their hands on the items. Adding to the problem was WeLoveFine, the company in charge of the shop, which had a reputation for poor customer service.

In response to the backlash, Valve, the game’s developer, issued a statement apologizing for the disappointing experience. They acknowledged the high shipping costs and expressed their commitment to offering fans a better and more affordable way to access the merchandise.

As Valve works on finding a solution, the Secret Shop remains closed. Customers who have already placed orders will still receive their items, unless they choose to request a refund.

Valve has not announced when the online Secret Shop will reopen. However, for those attending TI7, the onsite Secret Shop at KeyArena in Seattle will be available to explore.
