Valve Introduces New Hero Marci to Dota 2 Roster

Valve has surprised Dota 2 players with the addition of a new hero, Marci, to the game’s roster. The hero was revealed at The International 10 and is now available to play. Alongside Marci, Valve has released the gameplay update 7.30e, which includes balancing changes to heroes and items based on the tournament.

A New Character from Dota: Dragon’s Blood

Marci, an original character from the Netflix animated series Dota: Dragon’s Blood, is the latest addition from the show’s universe. Players can also get a special skin for the Dragon Knight hero, Davion. Marci’s voicelines consist of whistles, as she is mute in the show.

A Versatile Hero with Unique Abilities

Marci is a melee hero who can be played as a support or carry. She excels in dealing damage with rapid strikes and has the ability to move allies and enemies across the map. One of her notable abilities is Sidekick, which grants lifesteal and attack damage to herself and a chosen ally. In addition, she possesses high survivability.

Marci’s Abilities:

  • Dispose: Marci grabs a target and throws it behind her, damaging and stunning enemies in the landing area.
  • Rebound: Marci bounds to a target, damaging and slowing enemies in the area.
  • Sidekick: Marci grants lifesteal and attack damage to herself and a chosen ally.
  • Unleash: Marci gains Fury charges to deliver a rapid sequence of strikes, slowing the target with the final strike of each combo.
