Dota 2 voice actor potentially reveals The International 2023’s schedule and venue

Valve Leaks Possible Location and Date for The International 2023

Valve has a pattern of announcing events for its esports, but fans usually have to wait until the end of the Dota Pro Circuit for details about The International. However, it seems that a new source has leaked the location and general date for The International 2023, even without any official news from Valve.

John Patrick Lowrie, the popular voice actor behind Dota 2 heroes like Earthshaker and Storm Spirit, mentioned on his Facebook page that he will be attending upcoming Dota events this year.

He confirmed that he will be traveling to Lima for the first-ever South American Dota 2 Major later this month. Additionally, he revealed that TI12 will allegedly be returning to Seattle and the United States in October, marking its first return since 2017.

This information was previously leaked, but now that the voice of TI has shared it on his Facebook page without taking it down, it carries more weight.

The International was first held at Gamescom 2011 in Germany before moving to Seattle and remaining there from 2012 to 2017. If this leaked information is accurate, it is likely that the final days of TI12 will take place at Climate Pledge Arena, formerly known as KeyArena.

Lowrie’s post also seems to confirm that Valve will continue to hold TI12 in October, following the same timeline as last year’s TI11. Although specific dates are not yet available, if the current DPC season follows the same model as the previous one, the event will likely run from around October 15 to 30.

Now, we just have to wait for Valve to make the official announcement, and hopefully, we will also get some details about the 2023 Dota 2 Battle Pass.
