Dota 2 Roster Update: Team Secret Parts Ways with MidOne

Team Secret releases MidOne from Dota 2 roster

Team Secret has officially released Yeik “MidOne” Nai Zheng from its Dota 2 roster. MidOne had been moved to the inactive roster in November after the signing of Lasse “MATUMBAMAN” Urpalainen. The reason for the delay in his release is unclear, although it is speculated that MidOne wanted a break from competitive play.

A farewell message from Team Secret

Team Secret posted a video thanking MidOne for his contributions to the team since joining in 2016. MidOne left Southeast Asia to join Secret in Europe and formed a strong partnership with team captain Clement “Puppey” Ivanov.

A new team for MidOne

MidOne has already formed a new team named SEAMonkeys with ex-Mineski captain Michael “ninjaboogie” Ross Jr. and other players from Southeast Asia. Although they failed to qualify for the DreamLeague Season 13 Major, the team is expected to stick together for the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit qualifiers.

Upcoming tournament for Team Secret

Team Secret will be competing in the DreamLeague Season 13 Major, which begins on Jan. 18. The team has shown strong performances in the closed EU qualifiers with their new roster.
